Forest Schools

The proposed project has a number of distinct elements:
Woodland Walk: small area of native woodland is used for a variety of events as part of our on-going animation programme. The trail through the woods is in need of maintenance works and we would envisage carrying this out with our in house staff & a team of volunteers. This would edge the path network and lay an appropriate stone / gravel / dust finish, to ensure accessibility for all our users. It would also create new tree seats around 2 oak trees. Workshop Programme will deliver 4 x 2 hr ‘Forest School’ workshops involving the local community and promoting biodiversity. 4. Wildlife Pond:We would like to carry out some maintenance works to our existing wildlife pond, this will include the construction of a new path, a pond dipping area, a ‘work table’ and some clearing of shrubs etc. Bird feeding / watching station will create a new bird feeding / watching station within our woodland, next to our new Fairy Fort (covered outdoor classroom area).
