Four Oaks Saints Cricket Club, Sutton Coldfield – New Building Fit Out (007494)

In late 2019 the applicants noticed that the roof had sunk. The committee discussed replacing the roof but then Covid hit and put everything on hold. After much debate it was decided to replace the roof and extend at the same time. This will involve removing existing pillars which support the current roof (and reduce the capacity of the clubroom), bringing all levels to the same level, replacing the roof and extending the building both sideways and backwards. The main clubroom and the heart of the club was erected in 1959 (62 years ago). It was second hand then. Inevitably it is now in need of replacements. The development will increase the size of the clubroom from 48 square metres to 80 square metres. In addition, there will be a covered seating area outside the clubroom which will provide a further 27 square metres more than doubling current capacity.
