Fox Hollies Forum, Birmingham – Environmental Centre Improvements (40003/D)

The Project will improve access to the Fox Hollies Environmental Centre for people of all ages and levels of mobility. The Environmental Centre was established 20 years ago by volunteers and local residents. It offers a wide range of activities for young and old. It houses a variety of ‘Live Stock’; chickens, ducks, rabbits, goats and small handheld animals. It also has an aviary, community gardens and a wildlife area. The project will renovate existing parts of the Centre, such as the stables, community room and footpaths. It will also improve the facilities to allow the development of new activities for a wider range of users. For example by putting in new raised beds and creating a sensory garden, we will enable disabled users to participate much more fully in the life the Centre. The project will also develop a Community Garden, where local children can be taught how to grow vegetables, which they can take home and eat.

The Tust grant will contribute towards the community farm.
