Frays Farm Fen

A series of meadow cuts at our Frays Farm Meadow SSSI reserve, complemented by ditch restoration works at the site to prevent the water table from rising. Works will include clearing encroaching scrub back from the meadows and ditches and weed-wiping invasive species. These works will benefit barn owls - by expanding their grassland hunting habitat - and water voles - by making the ditch habitat more suitable for them. To facilitate the works, and to encourage members of the public to visit the site, we will also carry out access improvements at the entrance of the reserve.
