Friends of Bathurst Pool – New toilet block incorporating disabled facilities

To replace the current portacabin which has been in use for over twenty years to upgrade the site. The new block is to be built partly on the old, now defunct ladies toilet and when the work is completed to cater for any disabled persons wishing to visit the pool. The pool is accessible for all but no disabled facilities are available as yet. The benefit to the local community is an outdoor swimming pool in a safe environment for youngsters and families, mostly run by volunteers with the only paid positions being lifeguards. The pool is a valuable recreational facility, especially in the summer holidays when local children have lots of free time and also for familities who may not be able to travel to the coast.
