Friends of Clapham Common Wildflower Meadow

The aims of this project are to:
Increase biodiversity – Creating a species-rich sward that will attract a variety of insects and arachnids, birds and mammals, throughout the year;
Increase planting of native species – Sowing UK harvested wildflower and grass seed suitable for a publicly used area;
Create wild habitat – Providing a new wildflower meadow against the backdrop of severe loss of this habitat in the country;
Raise awareness among the public – Creating a highly visible biodiversity project aimed at reaching in excess of 200,000 members of the public each year;
Increase the Biodiversity Status of Clapham Common from Grade II to Grade I.
