Friends of Newton Park – Provision of tarmac games courts

To provide instant access for a choice of team games of all ages and mixes in the local community. To provide 2 tarmac all weather games areas in our local park. One a badminton sized area 10mx12.5m*with 2 vandal proof posts and 2 nets with adjustable fixings for net heights plus tarmac cement markings – this would be an area suitable for beachball; volleyball; quoits; Frisbee; badminton type games. The other area would be a longer strip 10m x 2m* with target markings and distance lines, suitable for softball target games; skittles; bounders; etc. This would enable different groups of families or friends to keep fit at the same time.
