Friends of Snakey Park Skate Ramps

We are seeking funding towards a project to build a skate area next to the existing park project, known locally as Snakey Park. Snakey Park opened in July 2014 and provides a highly valued play area in Eastington, Gloucestershire.

The playground project was conceived in response to Eastington’s only play area being declared unsafe and closed. The original need for the park was highlighted by the parish survey and forms a key priority as outlined in the Parish Plan.

The site is now managed and maintained by the Friends of Snakey Park, a small group of volunteers who carry out regular inspections and maintenance work, underwritten by the Eastington Parish Council who own and insure the site and assists as well as providing a budget for maintenance.

The skate park will be Phase 4 of the project, it will provide a range of ramps suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, the area will be designed to cater for users of scooters, skateboards, BMX bikes and other wheeled sports.
