Frith Wood Nature Reserve

Frith Wood is a 24ha semi-natural ancient woodland that straddles the ridge between the Painswick and Slad valleys. The wood is a Site of Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to its importance for biodiversity. The project aims to maintain its importance through a long-term programme of woodland management. Open areas are maintained by cutting scrub and low lying vegetation to promote suitable butterfly habitat.
