Fruitful Community Orchards - Site 3.3

Our WREF-funded project aims to plant a total of three new community orchards and 30 fruit trees in Wandsworth. The project registered here, is one of the three orchard sites (3.3). This orchard will be planted as per The Orchard Project’s core model of establishing community-run orchards which involves planting a new orchard and training community members to look after the fruit trees and site. Our core model has been designed to maximise community ownership and optimise the chances of success of the trees. As part of this project, we will run a training session for teaching staff on using the outdoor space and new orchard for outdoor learning and teaching the national curriculum.
