Fulwood Community Garden, Oldham – Garden Development (5822/D)

The project aim is to undertake excavations and tree works, crushed stone will be imported to form a hard standing area. All arisings will be further used to create bunds around existing sports pitch to form a ‘ball barrier’. Raised planters will be constructed. Fencing will be erected. Land will also be prepared as a growing area that will not be fenced; this is to be ploughed and improved by incorporating compost and walk ways. New signs will be bought and installed at entrances. Existing trees will be thinned/crown lifted and Japanese Knotweed treated. Existing overgrown paths will be treated. Trees will be planted. The Trust grant is a contribution towards the garden development.
