Galgate Village Hall

Provision and maintenance of a village hall for use of the inhabitants of Galgate and Ellel, Lancashire and their neighbourhood, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions; to include meetings, lectures, classes, recreation and leisure activities with the object of improving their conditions of life. This will replace the old institute which is no longer fit for its purpose, without room for expansion, with no space for a lift and very costly to heat and maintain, with a purpose built modern building. The new hall is to be environmentally friendly in its construction, maintenance and use of renewable energy. It aims eventually to be a net contributor to the national grid and to enhance the open playing fields in which it will be built.

provide a new access track to the hall, surface the area west of the hall, create disabled car parking to the side and a landscaped seating area in front of the main hall.
