Gate Keeper Project

The project will visually improve the front of the lodge and provide easier access for pedestrians from the footpath and within the park. The main improvements will consist of a slabbed area in front and to the side of the lodge, disabled access into the lodge, defensive planting plus re-grading and turfing of parts of the site.
The project will also encourage community involvement with the project and the park through the Friends Group’s approval of the designs and a team of young people from the local secondary school carrying out the defensive planting.
