Gateshead Fell CC – New Practice Facilities

The current practice facilities were installed in 1990; these will be dismantled. The new facility will provide two longer lanes (40m). Works will include a new dynamic porous aggregate profile, a concrete kerb perimeter edge to support & anchor the aggregate profile & new frame. A new practice facility would support:*Similar cricket outreach to local marginalised communities through the Council Locality Connectors.*Support our satellite club offer for girls/women to play women’s cricket for Gateshead Fell against other women’s teams.*Part of a local initiative to promote softball for junior girls.*Potential cricket outreach programme to local primary/secondary schools.*Enhance the provision for sports/sports day facilities for local schools.*New secure open air facilities for outdoor activities for other groups to host keep fit/yoga/zumba etc. Increased usage & trips to the club will have secondary benefits such as increased community cohesions & support our emerging new food/drinks offer.
