Gateway Centre Comfort Cooling

The Gateway Centre is a church and community centre based in the disadvantaged Staple Tye area of Harlow in Essex. The centre has approx 200 regular users per week, many of whom are young children or elderly residents accessing the childcare facilities, luncheon club or advice clinics. The centre is constructed of refurbished modular units and has a large flat roof which readily absorbs heat during the hot summer months. The application is to install solar film and a mechanical air conditioning system to provide the centre with comfort cooling.
