George Thomas Playground, Irlam – New Play Equipment (006192)

The project is about the regeneration of a community playground in Irlam which desperately needs new life breathing into it.

Most the equipment is very old, nearly 30 years, other items have been removed due to breakage and vandalism and never replaced. It’s an amazing space that is completely let down by the lack of fun engaging play equipment.

The new play area will firstly provide a suite of equipment for young people to enjoy which will be much more aesthetic and comfortable. The whole community will also benefit from the improvements and it will make the park a much more pleasant environment.
