Get Carlisle Buzzing

This project aims to set up a plant nursery at Gosling Sike allowing people to participate growing wildflowers and plants, wildlife gardening, volunteering and access to greenspace. This will enable us to; • Create a nursery space including poly-tunnels to be used by volunteers to grow wildflowers and plants and by project staff to host a range of activities. • Provide easy wheelchair accessible paths so that people, irrespective of all mobility, can access the poly-tunnels. • Be able to grow locally collected seed from native species for planting out and habitat creation. • Improve the variety and numbers of pollinating insects by growing and planting the appropriate native plants.
