GFAA Outdoor Classroom and Community Garden Development

GFAA has an existing partnership with Kaimhill Primary School that we plan to deepen this session. Classes visit our site to complete learning trails on green living and sustainability and gardening activities. In collaboration with The Robert Gordon University funding has been sourced (£20000) to build a community garden and outdoor classroom on site. If this bid is successful, funding secured from Aberdeen Greenspace will be used to create additional facilities for this outdoor classroom including: 10 wooden bench seats; 8 fold-down work tables; 1 solar-powered web camera; a small portable generator; a mower; materials for bird-box construction by pupils and the materials (wooden sleepers) to delineate a growing plot for use by Primary School pupils.
