GL3 Community Hub – Environmental Sustainable Refurbishment Project

This project is to refurbish our out of date toilet block and our very expensive hot water system, by refurbishing our toilets it will not only give comfort to our many users it will also reduce water usage, electricity and will enhance the local communities facilities. The hot water system is heating up 380 litre of water per day our projected hot water use is around 100 litres per day. By putting direct feed units were required we will only be heating water that is needed. By adding solar Panels to our sports hall roof this would hopefully not only generate enough electricity for our needs during the day when our energy consumption is at its highest, as the sports hall has no natural light and is hired out most daytimes as well as 4/5 evenings a week, but also maybe generate an income to help our building become more sustainable.
