Glanryhd Playarea

The project will develop a successful play space to meet the needs of local, children, young people and the wider community of Glanrhyd (near Ystradgynlais). A variety of play equipment will be provided so that a range of ages and abilities, including the disabled will benefit. The local community’s access will be provided by the installation of a short path which intersects with a well used existing path. The play area’s design and location will ensure that the site promotes physical activity, learning and social interaction through play. Equipment will be flexible to allow future development to meet the needs of children as they grow.

The play space is close to nature and where children currently play. Adults are able to oversee play, have social interactions and spend time at the Ironworks Heritage Site and natural environment. Part of the play area will be fenced in to provide protection from dogs etc. and the section will be open allowing access to natural environment.
