Gleadless Valley Community Wildspaces

Our project aims to restore selected wildflower meadow, hedgerows and ancient woodland areas, and the scrub/treed and grassland habitat mosaic, in the Gleadless Valley Local Nature Reserve. Involving the community and volunteers. This will be achieved by:- Restoring and improving 8 hectares of ancient woodland, 5.5 hectares of wildflower meadow (including scrub habitat) and 260 metres of hedgerow. Involving the local community and volunteers in delivering the project through a programme of community and volunteer workdays.
