Glorious Grasslands at Wilwell Farm Cutting

For this project Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust aims to increase biodiversity at the SSSI designated reserve, Wilwell Farm Cutting. Unimproved neutral grassland has declined in Nottinghamshire by 98% since the 1930’s and as this habitat supports a diverse range of native flora and fauna it is vital that it be actively conserved. NWT will increase the area of grassland habitat and create linkages to different areas of the reserve. Conservation grazing will be implemented to create a sustainable form of management and create excellent habitat for invertibrate species.
