Glorious Gutteridge Woods

This project will predominantly benefit Meadows and Pastures (London BAP habitat) and Lowland Meadow (UK priority) BAP habitat. Overall we plan to restore 6.89ha of Meadows and Pastures BAP habitat at Gutteridge Woods.

We will clear invasive hawthorn and blackthorn scrub that is encroaching and treat the stumps with an appropriate herbicide. In species poor areas a spring meadow cut will be undertaken, with the rest of the grassland cut in July. Undesirable species such as thistles will be treated with herbicide.
