Gloucestershire Archives – ‘For the Record’ – Creating Gloucestershire Heritage Hub

To work in partnership with volunteer-run charities and community groups to create Gloucestershire Heritage Hub in Kingsholm, a deprived area of Gloucester, by
* Replacing condemned, temporary HORSA hut from 1947 with an upgraded community training/meeting suite, a public amenity (the subject of this funding application).
* Refurbishing and re-purposing part of the existing school building in which Gloucestershire Archives is based and providing a home/base for heritage charities and groups
* Creating a lively community of groups and individuals with a common interest in gathering and keeping Gloucestershire’s written heritage and making it more accessible to the general public.
