Go Wild For Wetlands!

To restore a wetland area with a valuable pond network and associated terrestrial habitat to increase the overall biodiversity of the site and benefit native wildlife including the resident great crested newt population. Wetlands are one of the most productive habitats and are integral to the life cycle of many species. Access will be improved allowing us to share it with over 200,000 visitors a year from all sections of society, connecting them with nature and creating conservation champions of the future. It will be a well-used resource contributing to our education programme for schools, universities and community groups.
