Godre’r Graig Unity Park

The Unity Park project aims to bring together the community using a diversity of methods, using the park renovation as a focus for activity. Voluntary action is commonly used for environmental projects, but this project embraces the full potential of the community by providing the opportunity for voluntary involvement at every stage.
The aim of the project is to offer a tranquil community space where local people and visitors alike can enjoy what nature has to offer, learn about nature conservation, monitoring, coppicing and managing nature for conservation. The creation of 6 sub-groups (Environment, Art, Heritage, General Volunteers, Youth forum and board members) ensure that all aspects of the park are covered and each community member can take part depending on his/her knowledge, capabilities and interests.
