Goodworth Clatford Recreation Ground Replacement and Refurbishment of Equipment

The Barrow Hill Recreation Ground provides facilities for sport and play. The play equipment has not been updated for over 20 years, and is in need of repair and replacement. The ball games area, also needs new investment, in resurfacing the tarmac and providing new basketball hoops and goal ends. A local youth football club regularly uses the facility’s full size football pitch, and some investment is needed to renew or repair the goalposts.In phase 1, the Parish Council will repair and replace the play equipment, the costs of which will also be made up from local community fund raising.In phase 2, which relates to this grant, the PC would like to resurface the tarmac ball games area, provide new basketball hoop and a “goal end” and provide new line markings. Phase 3 would at a later date would see improvements to the pavillion and changing facilities.
