Goose Green Community Centre, East Dulwich – Doors and Toilets

Replacement of main front doors to Goose Green Centre, to improve accessibility and safety, including with wider door and power operation; replacement of existing toilet facilities with fully accessible, modern cubicles, including new shower, cleaning facilities and washing machine space
The church and Goose Green Centre are used by hundreds of people every week, including older and disabled people, parents/carers with buggies and people with learning difficulties. This project will improve accessibility and the environment. Not doing it will deter use and add to maintenance costs.
The Goose Green Centre is a well-used resource in East Dulwich and Peckham. However, the toilets are no longer fit for purpose and require repairs. Recent reports by the Diocesan Disability Advisor and the Centre for Accessible Environments highlighted accessibility problems that need to be addressed.
