Gotts Park Rose Garden – community growing & play space

Working collaboratively, the Wade’s Ranger, Parks & Countryside, the Friends Group, and Wade’s Charity have started to revitalise the underused and neglected Rose Garden at Gotts Park in Armley, Leeds, as a community growing, play and events space. This project will add additional features and facilities to support these activities: - Storage compound for gardening and outdoor toddler group equipment - Water butts harvesting rainfall to provide a water supply - Willow play features - tunnel extending the textured walk, dome for play and storytelling - Two compost bays – for recycling green waste from the garden & park - Wormery – to recycle café veg peelings and fruit and a teaching aid.
