The project will be to remove rhododendron from the woodland around the ponds that has choked the native woodland flora out so that no native wildflowers are able to grow.The cut rhododendron will then be chipped on site with a hired woodchipper and blown back into the woodland to compost down. The removal of invasive rhododendron that is not allowing the natural regeneration of the woodland.The rhododendron is also an intimidating barrier for people who use the site for recreation.
