GPE0736 Quarry Facelift

The event aims to improve a pond habitat (UK BAP priority habitat), which is being encroached on by willow and scrub. Work would entail involving a group of 16-25 year volunteers to control the willow and scrub through the use of loppers and bowsaws. To increase the ponds suitability for breeding amphibians submerged, floating, emergent and marginal / bog plants would be planted into the pond.
