Granby Winter Garden and Common House, Toxteth - Rejuvenation (5038)

The project will transform two derelict terraced houses, located right in the heart of our neighbourhood, into an beautiful & useful community space, designed by architect collective Assemble, our long-term collaborators. One house will be a double height, glass-roofed Winter Garden: a publicly accessible indoor garden and base for year-round community gardening both in the building & throughout the area. The other, linked by new openings between existing walls, provides a workshop/studio for creative activities and vital space for meeting, talking and working together - an urban “village hall” meeting community needs.
