Grange Villa Community Enterprise

The organisation aims to provide activities and facilities for the residents living in and around Grange Villa.

This application is requesting funding to enable the group to plant a box hedge to mark and protect the garden boundary. The community centre is a new building and initial projects were aimed at organising and equipping the centre for community use. As part of these initial projects a garden has been established at the entrance to the building which enhances the building and provides a cheery welcome to visitors. The group would like to plant a box hedge around the 65 yard perimeter. The budget includes costings for 160 shrubs to create the box hedge, compost, mulch and fertilizer products. The planting will be carried out by the community centre volunteers and other members of the community. This will define the garden boundaries and protect existing plants and shrubs as it will prevent visitors taking short cuts across planted areas.
