Grazing at Ickenham Marsh

Ickenham Marsh is a London Wildlife Trust nature reserve situated on the banks of the river Crane in west London. The habitats on this reserve have suffered due to a lack of resources, and we now need to restore 1.86ha of neutral grassland, 0.26ha of fen, 2.12ha of floodplain grazing marsh and 2.48ha of wood pasture at Ickenham Marsh. All four habitats are UK and London priority BAP habitats.

This project will install vital infrastructure to enable us to introduce of conservation grazing with cattle on the reserve. The volunteer group will conduct workdays to clear encroaching scrub, opening up areas for grazing.
