Great Crested Newt project

This project aims to raise awareness and understanding of Great Crested Newts in Darlington through education and public participation surveys. As part of the education and community work, volunteers and local children are being involved in improving ponds in the area - ponds currently are overgrown but still hosting newts. This will give people an active interest in local wetlands.
