Great Shelford Parish Council Playscape

To replace the village playground which is dilapidated, uninspiring and does not cater for toddlers, teenagers and people with additional needs. It also lacks shelter and a sense of place.
The project will transform a flat piece of land into a new landscape to explore, with new topography, new trees and new play equipment.The scheme has been designed with particular attention to enable wheelchair users to play alongside their peers.
Incorporating best practice for play area design, the Playscape is at the heart of a wide-ranging master plan the village commissioned for improving the recreation ground and community spaces for all users, and is the result of extensive local consultation and engagement.
