Great Waldingfield Village Hall Energy Efficiency and Refurbishment Project

The Project is a major refurbishment work to reduce running costs by using renewable energy wherever possible as well as improving energy efficiency by insulating walls and fitting double glazing units in new windows and doors.
The renewable energy will be provided by a brine to water ground source heat pump providing a peak heating output of 10.8kW, the remaining heating capacity (if necessary) will be made up using electrical back-up heating via an immersion element part powered by a photovoltaic array which will be mounted on the roof of the hall.
The project also involves the replacement of the entrance lobby to the hall. This is necessary in order to accommodate the piping inlets for the heat pumps and electrical cabling for the photovoltaic arrays.
The other work that is planned is the refurbishment of the kitchen, replacement of the hall flooring, new fire and burglar alarms and redecoration throughout.
