Green Fingers Training Area

The proposed project will utilise the last remaining piece of land within the existing Green Finger’s Project site. The area is currently vacant and its development would provide an element of additionality to the existing project.

The area would see the development of a number of distinct elements:
– Chicken Run
A small fenced off area within the existing site to house 4 – 6 chickens and provide a viewing area incorporating all necessary Health & Safety elements.
– Teaching Area (Outdoor Classroom)
A large (7m x 6m) open wooden structure providing some protection from the elements whilst still remaining in the outdoors. This could facilitate full class sizes and be used for ‘teaching’, horticulture training and as a shelter for Forest Schools.
– Wildflower / Wildlife Area
This area will further enhance the work already carried out by the Consortium, encouraging the development of wildlife habitat and the increase in biodiversity within the overall site.
– Picnic Seating Area
