Greenferns Woodland

The project is to open up greenferns wood which is a closed canopy woodland through woodland management and to create new access for nearby communities. It is adjacent to greenfern community woodland. The project will involve new signage, seating, paths and woodland management. The LCF funds will be used to create paths within the wood and for native shrub planting. Other funders (Aberdeen city council and forestry commission scotland) are funding the woodland management, seating and signage. The community has been consulted and is very supportive of the project.
