Greening Brownfield

This project aims to revitalise the current small play area in the Greening Brownfield garden to create a fun, educational space for local children to play, explore and learn about nature. At present the play area makes use of Freecycled, plastic play equipment, the project would like to gain play equipment from natural materials and provide a climbing frame, playhouse, digging pit and “kitchen” area for mud and water sensory play. The space is backed by a grey concrete wall which is included in the estate’s Grade 2 listing. It is hoped the group can work with a designer to explore how this space could be used for children’s art projects, while still respecting the walls listed status.
