Greening the Routeway at Haswell Plough

A large, neglected area of grass, adjacent to housing and a major routeway that runs through Haswell Plough, is to be re-graded, re-seeded and planted with over 100 advanced nursery stock trees underplanted with 3000 bulbs. Ground cover shrubs will surround an existing sculpture/seat and new village signs will incorporate planting containers. Either a protective trip rail or close board fencing will be erected at variuos boundaries. The trees will provide a linke with adjacent woodland, thereby providing a wildlife corridor and acting as a feeding station in an area that has little tree cover at present.
