Greenisland Community 3g Facility

It is the intention of Greenisland FC to replace and expand the current multi-purpose play surface area. The old surface is 7 years old and has been used extensively during this period and as result has become worn and unsafe to use. The construction of this modern project will accommodate the requirements of the local community. There is no such provision within the immediate area and people and groups wishing to use a similar service would have to travel outside of the area which would involve travel expense and hire charges which would put it beyond most local peoples finance. However the realisation of the new facility would accommodate everyone’s wish with regards to usage. In addition to the usual user’s, football hockey, schools, churches, playgroups etc. It is intended to start ‘twilight Football’ this is to encourage youths to use the facility from 10-12 thus providing an alternative to loitering and hopefully this will reduce anti-social behaviour.
