Grendon Underwood-Gallows Bridge Land Acquisition

Land acquisition to extend a reserve - County Wildlife Site (6.6ha) The proposed acquisition would enable public access measures including a small visitor's car park, a 6.6ha year round open access area and a path to a raised hide overlooking a large pond and the major part of the site. Additional appropriate access measures will be investigated following acquisition. The planning permissions that would accompany the land provide the opportunity in the longer term for BBOWT to create a modest office and visitor facility. This would provide a valuable additional means of engaging the nearby populations of Bicester and Aylesbury with the special and threatened wildlife of the area.
