Gresley Old Hall Community Welfare Centre, Derbyshire – New Roof (005750)

The replacement of the original (1964) pitched roof over the main room and the repair of the roof over the band room previously used by the Gresley Colliery Band until its collapse made the room unusable. The felt roof over the main room has been patched many times over the years but continues to leak during heavy rain and this threatens to damage the room’s sprung dance floor which is a major asset of the Centre.
