Ground Expansion, Improvement and Drainage, Aldridge ‘Stick and Wicket’ Club, Walsall

This is a project to extend and reorganise the playing pitches at Aldridge Stick and Wicket Club to enable the grounds to more closely meet the needs of its users. It will involve moving the mini football pitch on to the cricket outfield, and increase the number of pitches to three; extending ‘The Terrace’ in both length and width to make a full size adult football pitch; the addition of a further mini-training pitch in the area between ‘The Terrace’ and the main pitch, which is currently un-used space as it has quite a slope. The Club would like to level this area to gain the additional pitch. These changes would bring many benefits, enabling more sport to be played and reducing the wear and tear on the ground.
