Ground Source Heating & PVs

The village hall and sports changing room showers water are currently heated by oil fired boilers, our primary aim is to reduce our consumption of heating oil from approximately 4000 l/year to nil, this will be achieved by replacing the boilers with heat pumps. At the same time we intend to install PV array to offset some of our electrical energy use.
Replacing the boilers with heat pumps will reduce overall energy usage from 42,000 kWh/annum to 18,000. Of this 18,000 kWh/annum we intend 5,000 kWh/year from from PV’s
