Grove Methodist Church Re-development

The proposed building extension will provide an additional meeting room to seat 30 people; an expanded kitchen; additional toilet facilities (including a disabled toilet); and a welcome lobby with serving hatch from the kitchen; all meeting current access and health and safety standards. The existing kitchen, toilets and entrance will be demolished to make space for the extension.
In July 2007 during extreme local flooding, foul water flowed back through the drains into a depression on the site and entered the building. The project provides for infilling of the depression to level the whole site, provide damp-proofing and bitumen tanking to project the foundations.
