Growing Communities – community garden

A publicly accessible community garden featuring an orchard of Gloucestershire traditional fruit trees and demonstration areas showing cultivation techniques for top fruit, soft fruit, flowers, herbs and vegetables for the mentally, physically and socially less able.
Paths and fencing will be constructed by contractors. The body of the garden will be created and maintained by youth and adult trainees drawn from the local community who will benefit from skilled supervisors who specialise in working with vulnerable learners. The gardens are designed to be straightforward to maintain by the less able supported by volunteers from the local community.
