Growing Together – Enniskillen

The project will tackle factors causing the decline of biodiversity within Fermanagh and increasing public awareness and understanding. The project will directly involve people living in and around Enniskillen in practical conservation work through for example, the planting of native trees, constructing ponds, planting hedges & wildflowers, cleaning rivers and lough shorelines. These community projects will create new habitats, enhance several existing habitat types and support a wide range of wildlife.
Local volunteers will be involved in practical conservation work and this work will raise environmental awareness amongst those involved and the general public. Word of mouth, local publicity and educational events will raise awareness of biodiversity within schools and communities and to the general public.
