Gurdwara Siri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Telford – Creating a MUGA (008070)

The project aims to create an inclusive, accessible space that fosters community cohesion, physical activity and wellbeing. This project will focus on essential groundwork and drainage. The sports surface will feature line markings for various outdoor sports, catering to people of all ages and abilities. The MUGA will accommodate a range of sports, including football, basketball, netball, tennis and cricket as well as activities for children such as hopscotch and mini athletics all designed to encourage social interaction, physical development and inclusive play for everyone. This environmentally friendly and welcoming space will provide a much-needed facility to break down barriers to physical activity and foster community cohesion, helping to improve health outcomes, reduce social isolation and promote a sense of belonging among diverse communities in Telford.
